Terms of Service

1. Who may use the Academy

The Academy is intended for researchers, postgraduate students, academic supervisors, institutional staff and professionals who have applied for and been admitted to a programme or cohort, and for instructors we have approved.

You must provide accurate information when you apply. If you apply on behalf of an institution, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

2. Your account and password

Accounts are provisioned with your email address as the username and the digits of your registered phone number as the initial password. This makes onboarding of large cohorts practical, but it is deliberately a temporary credential.

You are responsible for changing your password promptly and for everything done through your account. Do not share your account with anyone else — attendance, submissions and credentials are personal.

3. Admission, enrolment and cohorts

Applying does not guarantee admission. Admission is confirmed by an approval decision in the Academy and, where applicable, by an admission letter issued to you as a PDF.

Cohort dates, session schedules, delivery mode and instructor assignment may change for legitimate operational reasons. We will give you as much notice as we reasonably can and publish changes in the Academy.

4. Attendance

Attendance matters because it forms part of your final weighted result. You may mark your own attendance for a session; your instructor then confirms, adjusts or rejects that mark.

Every attendance action is written to an audit log with a timestamp and the person who made it, so both you and your instructor can see exactly what was recorded and when.

5. Submissions and academic integrity

Practice and Capstone work is submitted weekly as a single package and may include multiple files. Your submission must be your own work, and any third-party material, data or AI assistance must be acknowledged where the assessment brief requires it.

Fabricated data, plagiarism, impersonation, submitting another person's work, or manipulating attendance are serious breaches. Where a breach is established, we may void the affected submission, require resubmission, withhold or revoke a credential, or terminate your enrolment.

6. Marking, AI assistance and released results

We use AI assistance to produce a first-pass review of some submissions. That review is an internal aid for instructors only. It is never shown to you as your result and it is never final.

Your instructor reviews each submission, may accept, adjust or discard the AI suggestion entirely, and is responsible for the mark. Only marks released by an instructor or administrator appear in your dashboard.

7. Certification

Certificates and other credentials are issued only where you meet the published requirements for the programme, including any mandatory components and the minimum weighted score.

Each credential carries a unique certificate number and can be checked on our public verification page. We may revoke a credential obtained through misrepresentation or integrity breach, and the verification page will then show it as revoked.

8. Lesson materials and intellectual property

Lesson materials, slides, recordings, marking guides, templates and the Academy platform remain our property or that of our licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning and professional practice for the duration of your enrolment and thereafter for personal reference.

You keep ownership of the work you submit. By submitting, you give us a limited licence to store, mark, moderate, and — where you have given separate consent — use anonymised extracts as teaching examples.

• Do not redistribute, resell, publicly post or re-record Academy materials or live sessions.
• Do not use the Academy or its materials to build a competing training product.
• Do credit the Academy when you refer to its frameworks in your own research or teaching.

9. Acceptable use

• No harassment, discrimination, or abusive conduct towards learners, instructors or staff, in sessions or in any Academy channel.
• No uploading of malware, or of files you have no right to share.
• No attempt to bypass access controls, read another learner's submissions, or interfere with marking or certification.
• No use of the AI study assistant to generate work you then present as your own where the brief prohibits it.

10. Fees

Where a programme or cohort carries a fee, the fee, what it covers and the payment terms are stated at the point of application or in the institutional agreement covering your place. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Academy at any time and ask us to close your account. Where a credential has been issued, we retain the minimum record needed to keep verification honest.

We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where required by law. Except in urgent cases, we will tell you what the concern is and give you a chance to respond first.

12. Availability and limits of liability

We work to keep the Academy available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and we are not responsible for failures of your own internet connection, device or institutional network.

The Academy is educational. We do not guarantee any particular research outcome, publication, grade, promotion or employment result. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim connected with the Academy is limited to the fees you (or your sponsor) paid for the affected programme, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Academy evolves. We will publish the new version with a new version number and date, and ask you to accept material changes when you next sign in. Continuing to use the Academy after a change takes effect means you accept it.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will try to resolve any dispute with you directly and in good faith before either side takes formal steps.
