Refund Policy

When you can withdraw and get money back, what happens if we cancel or reschedule a cohort, how transfers to a later cohort work, and what is never refundable.

Version 1.0Updated 14 August 2026Fee-paying participants and sponsoring institutions

This policy explains how Platinum Edu-Tech Consult Nigeria Ltd (RC 7110229) handles withdrawals, cancellations and refunds for fee-paying Academy programmes and cohorts. Free or fully sponsored places are not refundable in cash, but the transfer and cancellation protections below still apply to your place.

The principle is simple: if we do not deliver, you should not pay for it; if you withdraw, what you get back should reflect how much of the cohort has already been delivered and committed.

1. Cooling-off period

If you withdraw in writing before the cohort start date and at least 7 days before it, you receive a full refund of fees paid, less any payment-processing charge that we cannot recover.

2. Withdrawal after the cohort starts

Withdrawal takes effect on the date we receive your written request, not the date you stop attending.

  • Withdrawal within the first week of teaching: 70% refund.
  • Withdrawal after the first week and before the halfway point of the cohort: 50% refund.
  • Withdrawal after the halfway point: no refund, because materials, marking capacity and instructor time have already been committed to your place.

3. If we cancel or materially change a cohort

Your side

  • You may take a full refund, or transfer your place to the next scheduled cohort at no extra cost.
  • You keep access to any materials already released to you if you choose the transfer.

Our commitment

  • We tell you as soon as a cancellation decision is made, and process refunds without you having to chase us.
  • If we reschedule dates materially and the new dates do not suit you, we treat it as a cancellation for refund purposes.
  • We do not treat a change of individual instructor, or a shift between online and hybrid delivery, as a material change on its own.

4. Transfers and deferrals

You may request one transfer to a later cohort. If you request it before the cohort starts, there is no charge. After the cohort starts, a transfer is at our discretion and may carry an administrative charge to cover re-enrolment and re-marking capacity.

Places are personal and may not be sold or transferred to another person without our written agreement.

5. What is not refundable

  • Fees for a cohort you completed, whether or not you achieved the certificate.
  • Certificate re-issue, verification-letter or expedited-processing charges, once the work is done.
  • Fees where enrolment was terminated for a serious integrity or conduct breach that we established after giving you a chance to respond.
  • Bank or payment-gateway charges that we cannot recover.

6. Failing to meet certification requirements

Not achieving a certificate is not a ground for refund. Marking, attendance requirements and the weighted scoring model are published before the cohort starts, and resubmission opportunities are set out in each assessment.

If you believe a mark or an attendance record is wrong, use the review route in the Terms of Service rather than a refund request — we would rather correct the record than close your place.

7. How to request a refund, and how long it takes

  • Send a written request to info@platinumedutechconsult.com from the email address on your enrolment, stating your name, cohort code and reason.
  • We acknowledge within 5 working days and confirm the decision and amount within 14 working days.
  • Approved refunds are paid to the original payer, by the original payment method where possible, within 30 days of approval.
  • Where an institution paid for your place, the refund goes to that institution, not to you.

8. Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision, ask for it to be escalated for internal review. We will look at it afresh and give you a written outcome. This does not affect any statutory right you have.

Still being finalised

These points are being confirmed internally and will be published in the next version of this document. Everything else above applies today.

  • Final percentage bands and any per-programme variations before this is treated as binding.
  • Administrative charge amount for post-start transfers.
  • Whether sponsored places may be substituted by the sponsoring institution.
